We are seeking mission-driven and highly skilled Data Engineers at the Junior, Mid, and Senior levels to design, implement, and operate advanced data management systems that enable critical intelligence analysis.

Your Mission
As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and maintaining the data infrastructure that underpins intelligence operations. You will ensure data is efficiently stored, accessed, integrated, and managed across systems, enabling analysts and decision-makers to derive actionable insights.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, implement, and optimize data storage, access, and integration strategies for complex intelligence systems.
  • Work directly with data users to determine requirements, design optimal data architectures, and populate systems with actionable datasets.
  • Plan and optimize data throughput, query performance, and full pipeline efficiency to meet analytical needs.
  • Participate in selecting backend database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.), configure them, and ensure they support content, volume, ETL, and query performance requirements.
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot data systems to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to integrate new datasets and implement system improvements.
  • Document architectures, processes, and system changes to support operational continuity and compliance.

What You Bring
Education & Experience (must meet one of the following based on level):
  • Senior Level: Master’s degree + 12 years relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree + 17 years relevant experience.
  • Mid Level: Bachelor’s degree + 8 years relevant experience.
  • Junior Level: Bachelor’s degree + 3 years relevant experience OR 7 years relevant experience without a degree.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating data management systems for complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of database technologies, ETL processes, data pipelines, and query optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate across intelligence, operational, and technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation, reports, and briefings.
  • Experience analyzing data requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience supporting intelligence or military operations.
  • Familiarity with high-performance computing (HPC) data systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and large-scale analytics pipelines.
  • Training or mentoring experience in data engineering best practices.
